Warehouses

A warehouse is the physical location where a product is stored (separate from the branch — one branch can have more than one warehouse, e.g. a main warehouse and a damaged-goods warehouse). Warehouses track stock balances, transfers, and adjustments at a finer level than the branch.

Go to Inventory & Products → Warehouses → Create.

• Active: inactive warehouses don't show up as an option when recording a new stock movement.
• Name: the warehouse's name (required).
• Code: a short code used to identify the warehouse in reports (required).
• Address: optional.

• Product stock balances are shown and managed at the warehouse level; see Stock Movements Ledger to track every movement, and Stock Transfers to move quantities between two warehouses.
