Customer Classifications

Simple groups you can create to categorize customers (e.g. VIP, regular retail, partners), used for filtering and reporting — they don't affect pricing or accounting logic (that's driven by Customer Type, not classification).

Go to Customers & Suppliers → Customer Classifications and click Create:

Fields

  • Name: (required).
  • Active: (toggle) inactive classifications don't appear in the classification picker when adding/editing a customer.

Notes

  • Classification is entirely optional per customer, and there's no default.
  • To set the price tier (wholesale/semi-wholesale/retail), use the Customer Type field on the Customers form — it's independent of classification.
